Oatmeal for DogsIt's inexpensive, nutritious and filling
MetPet.com Staff WriterOatmeal is good for Fido. Short on dog food and still in your Daffy Duck PJs? Try this quick and healthy meal. Cook up a serving or two (depending on your dog's stomach size) of regular slow-cooking oatmeal. That's oatmeal that takes 10 or more minutes to make rather than the instant kind. Cook it up in plain water without adding salt. Add an egg to the cooked oatmeal and mix thoroughly to cook. The egg adds some protein to the carbohydrates. As an alternative, try adding shredded cheese or a few slices of sausage. Cool the oatmeal to room temperature and it's time to feast! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
