Bat & Swat Cat Toys

Bat&Swat Cat ToysBat & Swat toys do not have a human on the other end but rely on the energy and imagination of your cat.  Bat & Swat toys are meant to be rolled, flung, bounced and chased along the floor.  They can be hard and bouncy, soft and squishy, feathery or tough.

They come in a wide variety of textures, shapes and colors.  Different toys appeal to different cats at different times.  Even a subtle shift of color from pink to red or black to brown can make all the difference.

With all Bat & Swat toys try showing your cat what it is and how to use it.  Juggle it, toss it, crinkle it, flick it, throw and roll it in front of him.  This will help differentiate between cat toy and not cat toy.  The ball is a cat toy but the handmade silk tassel on the back of the chair is not.

If it is unclear to your cat what is and what is not a toy then everything interesting becomes fair play. Bat & Swat toys are meant to add to your collection of interactive toys but are not meant to replace them. All cats need interactive play with a human on the other end. Nothing takes the place of a living being as play.

Cats need variety so it is best to have a number of items that are regularly rotated as frequently as everyday. Place unused toys in a closet or heavy drawer that is inaccessible to your cat. Even the best toys wear out so toss them when they are dirty or damaged in any way.

If your cats are eaters of things that are not food (Pica, a disorder) then see our line of Rod&Line and Wire toys instead.

As with all toys, play safely and put away all toys when not in use.  Please do not eat any part of any toy
