Cat Toys Rod and Line

Line-based toys are interactive and are made to be pulled along the ground, over furniture, under covers, etc. They can be made from a wide variety of materials in a wide variety of colors, sizes, textures and smells. There are many styles to choose from and we recommend having at least two to rotate weekly and prevent boredom.

Since they're generally moving away from the cat, Line-based toys are not intimidating and are appealing to kittens, older cats and shy cats. For safety's sake, please put away all interactive toys when not in use. That way the toys stay fresh, appealing and in one piece!

We stuffed as many turkey feathers and as much ribbon as we could into our snazzy black caps. Then we added a sturdy, colorful cord and our famous clear acrylic rod. FeatherTails come in an assortment of bright colors and are great for pulling along the floor and up the stairs. They're also great for dangling over the back of the couch or the side of the bed (watch those claws though!)

Raffia & Ribbon-On-A-Rod

We had this huge raffia wreath above the mantelpiece at home. That was until the cat decided it was less a decoration than a really big toy. End of wreath! Raffia is the dried and shredded leaves of Madagascar palm trees. These trees have the longest leaves in the world resulting in the typically long strands or raffia. Cats love strings, ribbons and other long skinny things (including worms and snakes!) so this is a natural toy that needs little introduction. Four strands of our favorite ribbons add just the right dash of color.
